OKLAHOMA STATE +3.5 @ Texas Tech

The psychology really favors the Cowboys here as Texas Tech is coming off its biggest win ever.

With all this attention, including a lot of speculation about Coach Leach either leaving or getting a raise, TT cannot possibly have focused the way they needed to in practice this week.

Its just very, very hard for a college team to get up for two huge games in a row, especially a team that is not a traditional power and is not accustomed to the spotlight.

OSU matches up well as they bring a power run game that put up 682 total yards last week.

OSU has also shown a knack for anticipating the pass and making the big INT which would be as huge in this game as it was in their win over Mizzou.

I like Oklahoma State to win this but take the points on the road.

NORTH CAROLINA -4 v. Georgia Tech

UNC’s defense matches up very well with Tech’s option run game as the Heels have two big tackles in the middle and a fast linebacker corp.

Carolina has only allowed a combined 98 rush yards in its last two games and they lead the nation with 17 INTs, so they can make Tech pay if the Jackets do try and pass.

Perhaps most importantly, UNC has had two weeks to prepare for the triple option so they should be ready for it.

While Carolina was resting up last week, Tech had a hard fought game with FSU and players were talking about being mentally and physically exhausted on Monday.

Tech has played 5 straight weeks and injuries are becoming an issue with star OL Gardner out for the year and QB Nesbit banged up.

If UNC can stuff the option early and build a lead this could be a blowout if Tech has to try and pass.

NOTRE DAME +3.5 @ Boston College

Notre Dame is reestablishing their high powered pass game with Ice Man Jr. and two amazing freshman WRs. BC’s QB is an interception waiting to happen.

The Eagles are beat up and possibly starting to doubt themselves after being crushed by UNC then losing to a floundering Clemson team at home last week.

This rivalry game always seems to come down to a last second field goal, so I’ll take three and a half.
